Yesterday on the 14th of September 2010 the controller of Immigration Sheik Ilyas Hussain Ibrahim had inaugurated the first ever in-house training program targeted for the senior and middle management of immigration staff. The inauguration ceremony was hosted at the Immigration Head office and was attended by most of the senior management. On his brief and moving speech after the recitation of holy Quran by the controller himself he had marked that it was a glorious day both for him and Immigration to begin work in a new building with such a notable effort. He had also marked the importance and significance he places to staff development and capacity building.
Although the initial training program was targeted to develop the senior and middle management staff similar programs will be conducted to all staff in the current future for capacity building. The program covers all relevant subjects which will not only be lectured by Immigration staff, but as well as subject matter experts from other organizations.
The program has been designed in a flexible manner for optimum output and is to be completed at the course of 2011. The fruit of the success of the program will not only benefit the participants, but in generic it will benefit the whole organization.
