Certificates were awarded to 21 officers on 12th September who completed the course in Advance Certificate in Immigration Enforcement studies. The certificates were handed out at a ceremony held at the Faculty of Management and Computer Science, by Hon Abdu Rasheed Hussain who is temporarily in charge of the Ministry of Higher Education Employment and Social Security.This course accredited by the Maldivian Accreditation Board at Advance Certificate level, is a course desgined and delivered by the Immigration Training Unit to develop Immigration officers’ knowledge and skills relevant to the Immigration.
Controller of Immigration and Emigration Ibrahim Shafiu in his speech, called upon the Ministry of High Education Employment and Social Security to provide assistance to conduct more similar programs, as Immigration has successfully conducted a nationally recognisable certificate with the minimum of resources with many hardships and challenges. The chief guest Hon Abdul Rasheed Hussain in his speech praised Immigration for the hugely successful effort and promised that he would provide all the assistance that he can provide in further developing and delivering similar programs
