Immigration Netball girls finally won the first biggest Netball battle of the country. Achieving the trophy of the First Inter-Government – Company Netball championship is a making of history by Immigration Netball team.
The spirit of the team all the way from the beginning had a determination to win the trophy was an example of showing the moral strength of each player in the sense of a well acquainted teamwork.
Captain Yo, (Aminath Aabdul Aziz) and her partner She (Sheeneez Ali) did a magnificent and tenacious attacks to the Custom’s defense player Ms Shiura who couldn’t tolerate the abundance fighting spirit. Also the continuous throughout attacking and defense efforts by the Immigration players put the opponent team under extreme pressure to miss their easy shots.
Especially Nahi and Mamdu at defense supported by Adila, Mirfath and Zeena who did most of the up and down running, beating up the opponent players while performing versatile techniques and developing good opportunities helping the goal attackers to shoot easily.
Customs fought back valiantly on several occasions during the second half, but Immigration’s great defensive wall meant no change in their courageous power.
The match managed to keep a strong crowd with joy and thanks to the non-stop intensity and the battling qualities of the two great rivals.
Until the last final whistle, the fearless heroically performed players did enjoy the match with a winning spirit. After all, most of the credits were awarded to most of the team players as an outstanding result for their outstanding performance.And thanks to Almighty God, the team ended the tournament without ever getting defeated and rejoicing the Championship holding the great trophy in their hands in the air with the cool breeze of the evening of the very happy day of April 11th Friday.
