In an event held at Gan International Airport on Thursday, the Chief Guest, Mayor Abdulla Sadiq inaugurated Business Visa service in Addu City. 

Speaking in the ceremony after the inauguration, he stated that the service would pave way to globalization of Addu City and provide opportunities to hold international events, such as Marathons.

Addressing in the ceremony, Controller General Mohamed Ahmed Hussain said that it is the first time Maldives Immigration started issuing business visa apart from Male’ city. Furthermore, he noted that the Immigration would soon be welcoming new Employment Visa holders from Gan International Airport. 

He also stressed that Maldives Immigration will be expanding and decentralizing its services by embracing modern technology and introducing new services.
