Overview

All Business Visa applications are initiated with the Ministry of Economic Development via the Business Portal. Once ministry checks are completed, the request moves to Maldives Immigration for verification and final processing.

Submit via Business Portal

  • Apply through: business.egov.mv.
  • On submission, a General Service Request (GSR) number (e.g., GSR/2025/12345) is generated and the status becomes “Submitted”.

Application Status Flow

  1. Submitted — GSR number issued after you file the application in the Business Portal.
  2. Pending Other Organization Verifications — After ministry review/approval, the request is routed to Maldives Immigration for verification and processing under applicable laws and regulations.
